Laksar is a small town and nagar palika parishad of Haridwar district of Uttarakhand state. Lakasr is popular for its sugar manufacturing industry. City has population of 25,760 divided into 11 wards.

There are total 4153 households and 800 commercial establishments in the city. Nagar palika parishad Laksar has provided citizen facilities and basic amenities like water supply, roads, drains, street sweeping and door to door waste collection service. 

City has one of its integrated solid waste management facility for scientific processing of all the waste generated within the city.
