Solid Waste Management
Laksar city has 100% door to door waste collection services in all the 11 wards. All the vehicles have provision for collection of source segregated wet, dry and household hazardous waste. All waste collection vehicles are monitored by GPS enabled technology.
City has 100% street sweeping service once in day in all residential area and twice a day sweeping in commercial and market area.
Integrated Solid Waste Management Facility
City has Integrated solid waste management facility of capacity 10TPD for processing of all the waste generated by the city.
This facility has provision for composting wet waste, material recovery facility for recovery of dry waste recyclables. Domestic hazardous waste generated in this city will be sent to incineration at common facility.
Facility equipped with windrows composting, trommel screens and balling machine.
SWACHH LAKSAR PARIYOJNA
Swachh Laksar Pariyojana launched in the month of October 2020 by Nagar Palika Parishad Laksar in collaboration with EnviGorw Sustainable Solutions LLP.
Objective of this pariyojana to develop a zero waste Laksar by scientific management msw generated in the city, conduct community awareness campaigns andd create sustainable employment.
